Friends of Castle Heights
Who We Are and What We Do
Friends of Castle Heights is the largest,
non-profit organization on campus run solely by parents. This
group is responsible for the majority of fundraisers which
brings in income that in turn gets spent on student services
otherwise not covered by LAUSD. Friends of Castle Heights pays
for enrichment teachers (science and art), school
beautification, the computer lab, gardening, teacher's
assistants, the PE program and so much more.
Friends of Castle Heights, amongst other things, oversees money
making activities at the school such as: the Family Donation
Drive, Fall Festival, Gift Wrap and ArtWare sales, Spring
Auction, Jog-a-Thon and the Campus Campout.
Our big auction and fundraiser, the Castle Heights Carnivale, is
coming up on March 24th, and is being held at The Mark on Pico.
There will be dinner, drinks and the opportunity to bid on
amazing trips, services, merchandise and more. All proceeds will
benefit the students of Castle Heights! For ticket information,

'Friends' is comprised of two presidents, a treasurer, secretary
and ten directors all of whom make up the board of directors.
Monthly board meetings, held on the first Monday of the month
and are open to the public, evaluate new costs and procedures
that contribute to the well being and function of the school.
Board member and officer elections take place in May and each
term is for two years. For more information, please contact any
